Artykuł „Hipertekst jako zjawisko literackie i technologiczne - historia" skupia się na umiejscowieniu hipertekstu, rozumianego jako zjawisko literackie i informatyczne, w kontekście historycznym i kulturowym. Drugi rozdział poświęcony jest narodzinom i rozwojowi hipertekstu literackiego, reprezentowanego przez gatunek powieści hipertekstowej. Przedstawia historię hipertekstu literackiego, uwzględniając jednoczesny rozwój systemów technologii hipertekstowej. Trzeci rozdział poświęcony jest nowemu rozumieniu hipertekstu w perspektywie teorii cybertekstu oraz przekształceniom hipertekstu w środowisku sieciowym.

Thesis „Hypertext as a literary and technological phe- nomenon - history" is focused on the placement of hypertext, understood as a literary and IT phenomenon, in a historical and cultural perspective. Based on examples of selected events, hypertext literary works and Systems, the history of hypertext is presented. The first chapter deals with the roots of the hypertext idea and the history of hypertext as an environment of knowledge organization. It présents selected figures of key importance for the development of hypertext and their concepts of hypertext technology.
