Komisja Badań nad Zachodnią Białorusią istniała w latach 1926–1936 r. Początkowo została utworzona w ramach Prezydium Instytutu Kultury Białoruskiej, a od 1929 r. – Prezydium Białoruskiej Akademii Nauk w Mińsku. Badała historię rewolucyjnego ruchu demokratycznego na tzw. Zachodniej Białorusi. Od 1931 r. wydawała biuletyn informacyjny, w którym szczególną uwagę poświęcano kształtowaniu się i rozwojowi białoruskiego ruchu narodowo-demokratycznego w Polsce, analizie działalności białoruskich legalnych partii politycznych, związków zawodowych i ruchów. Komisja i jej biuletyn odegrały ważną rolę w kształtowaniu negatywnego wizerunku ruchu narodowo-demokratycznego, jego liderów i oskarżaniu ich o „narodową demokrację” i „narodowy faszyzm”, co utrwaliło się w białoruskiej historiografii radzieckiej w latach 20.–80. XX wieku.

The Commission for the Study of Western Belarus existed in 1926–1936. It was initially created under the Presidium of the Institute of Belarusian Culture, and from 1929 under the Presidium of the Belarusian Academy of Sciences in Minsk. Researched the history of the revolutionary democratic movement in Western Belarus, the socioeconomic, national and cultural development of the Western Belarusian region. Since 1931, she published an information Bulletin, in which an important place was given to the formation and development of the Belarusian national democratic movement in Western Belarus, an analysis of the activities of Belarusian legal political parties, unions of organizations and movements. The commission and the Bulletin played an important role in the formation of a negative image of the national democratic movement, its leaders and accusations of “national democracy” and national fascism”, which became established in Belarusian soviet historiography in the late 1920s–1980-s.
