System kształtowania obrazów w barokowej poezji moralizatorskiej Daniela Bratkowskiego

The article deals with the system of moralizing images of Danylo Bratkowski poetry collection ”Świat po części przezrzany” that arose on the border of Polish and Ukrainian cultures in the late Baroque period. Attention is paid to the symbolic nature of the titles of poetic works, their reference to epigrams and their repetition in various parts of the poetry volume. Anthropological, toponimic and associative images were analyzed including psychological realities, ancient and animal personifications, metaphorical objects and phenomena as well as moral values. A special group of images in Bratkowski’s works create universals on the religious and philosophical levels. Sarmatian paintings were described in detail due to their general distribution in the Baroque culture of the Borderlands.
