During the reign of Sigismund Augustus, Wawel Castle was enriched, among other things, with a set of tapestries made in Brussels. Their creators included members of the Dermoyen family. This article presents new information about the lives of artists commissioned by the Polish king - research reveals the struggles of the artists, supporters of the Protestan religion, with the Tribunal of the Inquisition.
