Ewolucja znaczenia Arktyki w polityce bezpieczeństwa Kanady w latach 2006-2025

Praca skupia się na analizie polityki bezpieczeństwa Kanady wobec Arktyki na przestrzeni lat 2006 – 2025. W pierwszej części opisany jest kontekst Arktyki w perspektywie Kanady – aspekty strategiczne, prawne, kulturowe i gospodarcze. W drugim rozdziale przedstawiono stosunki Kanady z innymi państwami w regionie. Na końcu pracy przeprowadzona jest analiza porównawcza trzech administracji premierów: Stephena Harpera, Justina Trudeau oraz Marka Carneya. Kluczowym elementem analizy jest zestawienie podejść polityków konserwatywnych i liberalnych w celu ustalenia stopnia wpływu ideologii na militaryzm polityki bezpieczeństwa.

The focus of the thesis is the analysis of Canadian security policy in the Arctic in the years 2006 - 2025. In the first chapter, the broader context of the Arctic from the Canadian perspective is described - its strategic, legal, cultural, and economic aspects. Canadian relations with other states in the region are introduced in the second chapter. At the end of the thesis an analysis of three prime ministerial administrations is carried out: those of Stephen Harper, Justin Trudeau, and Mark Carney. The key element of the analysis is to compare the politicians’ approaches - conservative and liberal - and to ascertain the extent to which their ideology has influenced the militarism of the security policy.
