Doktor habilitowany (post-doctoral degree holder), historian and Iberian Studies specialist. My MA thesis (defended at the University of Warsaw) was dedicated to the Jesuit reductions in Paraguay, and my doctoral dissertation (prepared at the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences) addressed the question of the Franciscan missionary work in the sixteenth-century Mexico. My post-doctoral dissertation (defended at the Jagiellonian University) was dedicated to the social history of the Spanish Church in the 19. and 20. century.My other fields of interest comprise also migrations, Spanish popular culture, the Cold War and history of public transport.
