Management of restrictions during the SARS-Cov-2 pandemic in Central European countries

dc.abstract.enThe SARS-COV-2 pandemic, which affected many countries, including the countries of Central Europe, caused many changes in the functioning of society to date. These changes concerned numerous limitations of human rights and freedoms that were imposed by public authorities on individuals in countries affected by the pandemic. The fight against the pandemic has confronted the governments, as well as the societies living in them, with previously unknown challenges. For in no country in Central Europe has there been any special pandemic legislation that would uniformly regulate the powers of the state in situations of similar disasters. However, in order to effectively control the threats associated with the epidemic, an international exchange of experiences and new normative solutions in the realities of the current crisis situation become necessary. The fight against the epidemic, although it is associated with severe restrictions and limitations on the rights and freedoms of each individual, must be properly perceived by society as a society-wide effort requiring sacrifice, the success of which requires joint and coordinated cooperation of all entities.
