dc.abstract.enThe article aims to address the problem of so called artists’ estates. In Western countries there are a number of institutions which act in this field, whereas in Poland the issue of artists’ estates has not been sufficiently recognized and, even more so, included in the system framework. The article presents the examples of solutions adopted in Germany, which enable to preserve the integrity of the artist’s estate. It also shows that artists’ estates require an interdisciplinary approach, which may lead to the dialogue between various milieus and result in a broad, multiperspective view of the work of art.
