Miejsce Hansa-Georga Gadamera w dwudziestowiecznym sporze o interpretację

dc.abstract.enThe aim of the thesis is to position Hans-Georg Gadamer within the twentieth-century debate on interpretation. His hermeneutics is analyzed in the context of interpretation theories proposed by key philosophers of the period, including Eric D. Hirsch, Umberto Eco, Richard Rorty, Roland Barthes, Michel Foucault, and Jacques Derrida. The first chapter presents these thinkers' theories, which allows for outlining a problematic framework that facilitates the analysis of Gadamer's position in the subsequent sections. The second and third chapters provide an analysis of Gadamer's hermeneutics, focusing on his approach to works of art and interpretation, as well as the ontological foundations that support this process. The conclusion highlights Gadamer's position as a philosopher who, while more radical than Hirsch and Eco, does not reach the radicalism of Foucault and Derrida. The work portrays Gadamer as occupying an intermediary position, as he mediates between the extreme positions within the interpretation debate.
dc.abstract.plCelem pracy jest określenie miejsca Hansa-Georga Gadamera w dwudziestowiecznym sporze o interpretację. Analizie poddano jego hermeneutykę w kontekście teorii interpretacji zaproponowanych przez kluczowych filozofów tego okresu, takich jak Eric D. Hirsch, Umberto Eco, Richard Rorty, Roland Barthes, Michel Foucault oraz Jacques Derrida. W pierwszym rozdziale zaprezentowane zostają teorie tych myślicieli, co pozwala na zarysowanie pola problemowego, umożliwiającego analizę stanowiska Gadamera w dalszych częściach. W rozdziałach drugim i trzecim przeprowadzono analizę hermeneutyki Gadamera, z uwzględnieniem jego podejścia do dzieła sztuki oraz procesu interpretacji, jak również ontologicznych podstaw, które ten proces umożliwiają. W zakończeniu ukazane zostaje miejsce Gadamera jako filozofa, który, choć bardziej radykalny niż Hirsch i Eco, nie osiąga takiej radykalności jak Foucault i Derrida. W pracy Gadamer zostaje przedstawiony jako myśliciel zajmujący miejsce pomiędzy, gdyż pośredniczy on pomiędzy skrajnymi stanowiskami w ramach sporu o interpretację.
