dc.abstract.enThe thesis on the European Union's involvement in the actions of the United Nations Human Rights Council. It addresses the role played by the EU in shaping international norms and practices regarding human rights, as well as the mechanisms of cooperation between the EU and the UN Human Rights Council. The first chapter discusses the legal and institutional framework of human rights in the European Union. It focuses on the legal structures and institutions responsible for promoting and protecting human rights in the context of the EU's international actions. The second chapter is dedicated to the mechanisms of cooperation between the European Union and the UN Human Rights Council, analyzing various forms of collaboration. The third chapter examines the impact of interactions between the European Union and the UN Human Rights Council on international norms and practices in the field of human rights. It discusses how this cooperation contributes to shaping global standards for human rights protection, despite existing challenges. The thesis indicates that the EU plays a key role in the UN Human Rights Council, initiating numerous resolutions and promoting human rights protection standards. Cooperation between the EU and the Council contributes to the shaping of universal human rights norms, even though it also faces challenges related to differences in approach among EU member states and external partners.
dc.abstract.plPraca dotyczy zaangażowania Unii Europejskiej w działania Rady Praw Człowieka Organizacji Narodów Zjednoczonych. Traktuje o roli, jaką odgrywa UE w kształtowaniu międzynarodowych norm i praktyk dotyczących praw człowieka, a także mechanizmach współpracy między UE a Radą Praw Człowieka ONZ. W pierwszym rozdziale omówione są ramy prawno-instytucjonalne praw człowieka w Unii Europejskiej. Skupiono się na strukturach prawnych oraz instytucjach odpowiedzialnych za promowanie i ochronę praw człowieka w kontekście działań UE na arenie międzynarodowej. Drugi rozdział poświęcony jest mechanizmom współpracy między Unią Europejską a Radą Praw Człowieka ONZ. Analizowane są różne formy współdziałania. W trzecim rozdziale zbadano wpływ interakcji między Unią Europejską a Radą Praw Człowieka ONZ na międzynarodowe normy i praktyki w dziedzinie praw człowieka. Omówiono, jak współpraca ta przyczynia się do kształtowania globalnych standardów ochrony praw człowieka, mimo istniejących wyzwań. Praca wskazuje, że UE odgrywa kluczową rolę w Radzie Praw Człowieka ONZ, inicjując liczne rezolucje i promując standardy ochrony praw człowieka. Współpraca między UE a Radą przyczynia się do kształtowania uniwersalnych norm praw człowieka, mimo że napotyka również na wyzwania związane z różnicami w podejściu państw członkowskich UE oraz zewnętrznymi partnerami.
