Transhumanizm we współczesnym kinie science-fiction. Wymiary edukacyjne filmów Ex Machina, Ghost in the Shell, Transcendencja

dc.abstract.enThe thesis focuses on the elements of transhumanism in the contemporary science fiction cinema. Their identification and characteristics are approached from the educational perspective. The key question leads to consideration of how the future man could function in a transhumanist system. The aim of the thesis is to examine the ways of presenting transhumanism in sci-fi films through the prism of the romantic relationship between humans and posthumans. The analyzes also show the use of cultural tradition (the Greek and Roman mythology) to present problems generated in the future transhumanist world. The thesis consists of three parts. The first one presents the ideas and project of transhumanism in an educational context. The second discusses the educational dimensions of sci-fi films. The third one introduces methodological approach employed in anal-yses and proceeds with the analyzes of selected films stressing three educational dimensions: symbolic, technological and personal. The basis for the analyzes are films of the last decade: “Ex Machina” (2015, dir. Aleks Garland), “Ghost in the Shell” (2017, dir. Rupert Sanders), “Tran-scendence” (2014, dir. Wally Pfister).
dc.abstract.plPrzedmiotem pracy są elementy transhumanizmu obecne we współczesnym kinie science fiction. Zidentyfikowanie ich oraz charakterystyka ujęte zostają w perspektywie edukacyjnej. Kluczowe pytanie prowadzi do zastanowienia, w jaki sposób przyszły człowiek mógłby funkcjonować w systemie transhumanistycznym. Celem pracy jest zbadanie sposobów przedstawiania transhumanizmu w filmach sci-fi przez pryzmat relacji romantycznej człowieka i postczłowieka. Analizy pokazują również wykorzystanie tradycji kulturowej (mitologii greckiej i rzymskiej) do przedstawiania problemów generowanych w przyszłym transhumanistycznym świecie. Praca składa się z trzech części. W pierwszej przedstawiono idee i projekt transhumanizmu w kontekście edukacyjnym, W drugiej omówiono wymiary edukacyjne filmów sci-fi. W trzeciej zawarto charakterystykę metody badawczej i dokonano analizy wybranych filmów w trzech wymiarach edukacyjnych: symbolicznym, technologicznym, osobowym. Podstawą dokonania analiz są filmy ostatniej dekady: „Ex Machina” (2015, reż. Aleks Garland), “Ghost in the Shell” (2017, reż. Rupert Sanders), “Transcendencja” (Transcendence, 2014, reż. Wally Pfister).
