Efekt niesamowitości w niszowym kinie grozy - analiza The Mandela Catalogue

W poniższej pracy staram się przedstawić wykorzystanie efektu uncanny przez twórców niszowego kina grozy, a dokładniej podgatunku, jakim są horrory analogowe. W pracy stawiam hipotezę, że w amatorskim kinie grozy twórcy często wykorzystują efekt niesamowitości w celu wywołania u widza poczucia dyskomfortu. Głównym celem było zbadanie, jak efekt ten funkcjonuje w niszowym kinie grozy i jakimi środkami jest osiągany. Praca skupia się na analizie wybranego przeze mnie horroru analogowego The Mandela Catalogue Alexa Kistera. Praca została napisana w oparciu o literaturę naukową, artykuły z czasopism specjalistycznych oraz wywiady z twórcami horrorów analogowych. Po przeprowadzonej analizie udało mi się potwierdzić występowanie efektu niesamowitości w wybranej serii zarówno w wymiarze audiowizualnym, jak i fabularnym.

In the following work I try to present the use of the uncanny effect by the creators of niche horror cinema, and more precisely its subgenre, which are analog horrors. In this work I hypothesize that in amateur horror cinema creators often use the effect of uncanniness in order to induce a feeling of discomfort in the viewer. The main goal was to study how this effect works in the niche horror cinema and by what means it is achieved. The thesis focuses on the analysis of Alex Kister's series The Mandela Catalogue. The work was written on the basis of scientific literature, articles from specialized journals and interviews with creators of analog horror. After conducting the analysis, I was able to confirm the occurrence of uncanny effect in the selected series in both audiovisual aspect as well as the plot.
