Cyberstalking jako problem społeczny w różnych ujęciach

dc.abstract.enThe paper covers the topic of cyberstalking and presents it from various perspectives: as a deviant phenomenon, from sociological perspective and shows its impact on the computer games industry. It also presents the history of cyberstalking, typologies of perpetrators and victims and determines how it differs from other crimes which it is sometimes mistaken for. The main goal of the paper is not only to show what cyberstalking is and what distinguishes it, but also that it is not a one-dimensional phenomenon. The first chapter discusses the history of the phenomenon, its origin and development, with reference to the etymology and the definition of cyberstalking and stalking. It also shows its impact on computer games and how the Internet influenced its development. The issue whether this is an old or a new phenomenon is also contemplated in this chapter. The second chapter discusses cyberstalking from different perspectives: in terms of deviation, in social and legal terms, as well as in terms of sociology of everyday life, symbolic interactionism and as a social problem. The third chapter focuses on defining the profiles of perpetrators and victims. It is shown what findings on stalking can be applied to cyberstalking with emphasis on the role of the victims. The issue of classification/typology of cyberstalking is also raised, as it is sometimes mistaken for other deviant phenomena. The paper is intended to show cyberstalking as a social problem from various perspectives and that it differs from classic stalking. While reporting on the phenomenon of cyberstalking, I also present my own point of view on this issue.
dc.abstract.plPraca porusza temat cyberstalkingu i przedstawia go z różnych perspektyw: jako zjawiska dewiacyjnego, pod kątem socjologicznym oraz ukazania jego wpływu na branżę gier komputerowych. Przedstawia także historię cyberstalkingu, typologie sprawców i ofiar oraz określa, czym różni się od innych przestępstw, z którymi bywa mylony. Zadaniem pracy jest nie tylko pokazanie, czym jest cyberstalking oraz co go wyróżnia, ale też to, że nie jest zjawiskiem jednowymiarowym. Pierwszy rozdział ukazuje historię zjawiska, jego powstania i rozwoju, z nawiązaniem do etymologii i definicji cyberstalkingu oraz stalkingu. Przedstawia także jego wpływ na gry komputerowe oraz to, jak Internet wpłynął na jego rozwój. Zostały w nim zawarte także rozważania nad tym, czy jest to zjawisko stare czy nowe. Drugi rozdział przedstawia cyberstalking w różnych ujęciach: w kategoriach dewiacji, w ujęciu społecznym i prawnym, a także w kategoriach socjologii codzienności, interakcjonizmu symbolicznego oraz jako problemu społecznego. Trzeci rozdział skupia się na określeniu sylwetek sprawców i ofiar. Ukazane zostaje, co z ustaleń na temat stalkingu może być zastosowane wobec cyberstalkingu, z podkreśleniem roli ofiar. Poruszona zostaje także kwestia klasyfikacji/typologii cyberstalkingu, ponieważ bywa mylony z innymi zjawiskami dewiacyjnymi. Cała praca ma za zadanie pokazać cyberstalking jako problem społeczny z różnych perspektyw oraz to, że różni się od klasycznego stalkingu. Relacjonując wiedzę o zjawisku cybestalkingu, przedstawiam zarazem swój punkt widzenia związany z tym zagadnieniem.
