Zmiany rozwojowe w poziomie materializmu dzieci w wieku przedszkolnym - rola wieku i teorii umysłu

dc.abstract.enThe study aimed to examine the role of age and theory of mind as it relates to developmental changes in the level of materialism among preschool children. The theoretical part included a description of the materialism among different age groups, the relationship of materialism with other variables, and measurement tools for studying materialism among children and adolescents. Furthermore, the author defined the theory of mind, described its development with age, and highlighted possible relationships between materialism, theory of mind and age. The author pointed out a limited number of studies in this area, and the necessity of exploring this subject among preschool children. The analytical part of the thesis presents the results of a study conducted among 229 children aged 39-87 months. The level of materialism decreased with the age of the child and increased with the level of development of the theory of mind, but only for materialism understood as success defined by the possession of goods. The results provide a better understanding of child development and may have practical implications.
dc.abstract.plCelem pracy było zbadanie roli wieku i teorii umysłu w kontekście zmian rozwojowych w poziomie materializmu wśród dzieci w wieku przedszkolnym. W części teoretycznej scharakteryzowano materializm wśród różnych grup wiekowych, opisano związki materializmu z innymi zmiennymi, a także przedstawiono narzędzia do badania materializmu wśród dzieci i młodzieży. Zdefiniowano także teorię umysłu oraz opisano jej rozwój wraz z wiekiem. Zwrócono uwagę na możliwe związki między materializmem, teorią umysłu a wiekiem. Wykazano istnienie ograniczonej liczby badań w tym obszarze i uzasadniono konieczność eksploracji tego tematu wśród dzieci w wieku przedszkolnym. W części analitycznej pracy przedstawiono wyniki badania przeprowadzonego wśród 229 dzieci w wieku 39-87 miesięcy. Wykazano, że poziom materializmu maleje wraz z wiekiem dziecka, a rośnie wraz z poziomem rozwoju teorii umysłu, jednak tylko gdy materializm rozumiany jako sukces definiowany przez posiadanie dóbr. Uzyskane wyniki pozwalają na lepsze zrozumienie rozwoju dziecka i mogą mieć implikacje praktyczne.
