Warsaw. A new immigration city in search of its integration policy towards newcomers

In the last three years, Poland has been the preferred destination for a rapidly increasing number of migrants, particularly from Ukraine. It is fast transforming from an emigration country into an immigration one. Most migrants head to large cities, especially Warsaw. At the national level, the only existent elements of an integration policy are directed at refugees. NGOs and local governments of several cities, such as Warsaw, are trying to fill the gap by providing integration assistance, especially in the socio-economic and legal sphere, to all migrants. The country urgently needs to build an integration policy based on these experiences.
