Obraz świata przedstawionego we współczesnej prozie fantasy young adult na przykładzie utworów Leigh Bardugo, Sary J. Maas i Holly Black

dc.abstract.enIn this work I address the subject of the image of the world represented in contemporary fantasy prose for young adult readers. I conducted the analysis using the works of popular authors – Leigh Bardugo, Sarah J. Maas and Holly Black. The point of the work was to select several elements of the world represented and look at them in order to examine the uniqueness of contemporary presented worlds. In the following chapters, I explore the topic of fairy tale, mythical or romantic patterns and motifs, describe the heroic conducts of heroes and heroines, consider initiation threads and address the problem of the significance of the character’s gender. There is also the issue of the „medievalization” of the time of action and how space is created and presented in the examples studied.
dc.abstract.plW niniejszej pracy podjęłam temat obrazu świata przedstawionego we współczesnej prozie fantasy dla czytelników young adult. Analizę przeprowadziłam na przykładzie dzieł popularnych autorek – Leigh Bardugo, Sary J. Maas oraz Holly Black. Celem pracy było wybranie kilku elementów świata przedstawionego i przyjrzenie się im, aby zbadać unikatowość współczesnych światów przedstawionych. W kolejnych rozdziałach podejmuję wątek schematów i motywów baśniowych, mitycznych czy romansowych, opisuję postawy heroiczne bohaterów i bohaterek, przyglądam się wątkom inicjacyjnym czy też poruszam problem znaczenia płci postaci. Pojawia się również kwestia „uśredniowiecznienia” czasu akcji oraz to, jak kreowana i prezentowana jest przestrzeń w badanych przykładach.
