Dożynkowy Art Nexus. Relacje pomiędzy ludźmi i nie-ludźmi, “stawanie się”indeksów podczas współczesnych dożynek

dc.abstract.enThe work attempts to depict the relationships between humans and non-humans involved in creating harvest festival objects—decorations, non-material performances, greeting sculptures (witacze), and processions. It refers to the post-dependence/postcolonial discourse and shows contemporary harvest celebrations as a festival ignored by mainstream cultural discourse. Organized into three thematic chapters, using Alfred Gell's Art Nexus theory and drawing inspiration from Latourian following the actors, the work describes the cause-and-effect becoming of individual indexes. The creation of indexes is discussed within three general themes. The first theme explores agriculture and its impact on the harvest festival day (Chapter 5). The second theme delves into the agency of religion and religiosity, particularly focusing on individuals inspired by God and the construction of an altar for the harvest Catholic mass (Chapter 6). The third theme explores the performance of various femininities and masculinities by both the creators of the harvest festival and the festival elements (things) themselves (Chapter 7). This study is grounded in fieldwork conducted in Kępno County and Kluczbork County in Poland, utilizing visual anthropology (e.g. photography) methods to examine the visual aspects of the harvest festival.
dc.abstract.plCelem pracy jest ukazanie relacji pomiędzy ludźmi i nie-ludźmi, konstruującymi dożynkowe wyroby: dekoracje, niematerialne performansy, witacze, korowód. Praca odnosi się do dyskursu postzależnościowego i sytuuje współczesne obchody dożynek jako święto ignorowane przez główny dyskurs kulturowy. Trzy rozdziały tematyczne, posługując się teorią Art Nexus Alfreda Gella oraz inspirując latourowskim „podążaniem za aktorami”, opisują przyczynowo-skutkowe „stawanie się” poszczególnych indeksów. Konstrukcja indeksów opisana jest w odniesieniu do trzech bardzo ogólnych zjawisk. Z jednej strony do szeroko pojętego rolnictwa i tzw. „rolniczości” wsi w dniu dożynek (rozdział 5). Z drugiej, religii i jej sprawstwa - szczególnie w kontekście jednostkowych natchnień i budowy ołtarza na potrzeby dożynkowej mszy świętej (rozdział 6). Z trzeciej, performowania różnych wymiarów „kobiecości” i „męskości” przez dożynkowych wytwórców i rzeczy (rozdział 7). Praca powstała na podstawie badań terenowych przeprowadzonych głównie w powiecie kępińskim i kluczborskim oraz wykorzystuje środki wizualne w postaci zdjęć z dożynek wykonanych przez autorkę.
