dc.abstract.enThis thesis explores body language to determine its place within the field of linguistics. By examining various source materials, it analyses definitions of both natural language and body language, comparing the two concepts based on their functions, characteristics, and structures. The study aims to address to what extent body language can be considered a form of language, emphasising its significance in the act of communication. By identifying the properties of natural language, the paper assesses how well body language aligns with these properties. Additionally, the research highlights both the limitations and advantages of body language compared to natural language, illustrating the differences between them.

dc.abstract.otherEste trabajo explora el lenguaje corporal para determinar su lugar dentro del campo de la lingüística. Mediante el examen de la literatura relevante en lingüística, se analizan las definiciones tanto de lengua natural como de lenguaje corporal, comparando ambos conceptos según sus funciones, características y estructuras. El trabajo pretende abordar hasta qué punto el lenguaje corporal puede considerarse una forma de lenguaje, enfatizando su importancia en el acto de comunicación. Una vez identificadas las propiedades de las lenguas naturales, el trabajo evalúa cuán bien el lenguaje corporal se alinea con estas propiedades. Además, la investigación resalta tanto las limitaciones como las ventajas del lenguaje corporal en comparación con las lenguas naturales, ilustrando las diferencias entre ellos.
dc.abstract.plNinejsza praca zajmuje się tematyką mowy ciała i ma na celu jego umiejscowienie w ramach dziedziny lingwistyki. Na podstawie badania materiałów źródłowych, przeprowadza analizę definicji zarówno mowy, jak i mowy ciała, porównując oba pojęcia w oparciu o ich funkcje, cechy i strukturę. Praca dąży do odpowiedzenia na pytanie, w jakim stopniu mowa ciała może być uznawana za język, podkreślając jej istotę w akcie komunikacyjnym. Identyfikacja właściwości mowy pozwala sprawdzić, w jakim stopniu mowa ciała również im odpowiada. Ponadto, badanie przyczynia się do wykazania zarówno limitacji, jak i przewagi mowy ciała względem języka naturalnego, uwidaczniając różnice między nimi.
