Negocjacja instytucjonalizacji. Dynamika zmian Młodzieżowego Strajku Klimatycznego w latach 2019-2024

dc.abstract.enThis study seeks to analyze the structural changes occurring within the Youth Climate Strike (YCS) between 2019 and 2024 in Poland. Particular emphasis was placed on the aspect of the movement’s institutionalization and the associated challenges and benefits of this process. To achieve this objective, open interviews were conducted with individuals involved in the movement, revealing a gradual formalization of some of its structural elements. The study focused on the following dimensions of institutionalization: the growth in the number of the members, the centralization of the decision – making process, the division of the movement into smaller groups, the formalization of the process of financing the movement’s activities, and the inclusion of the movement in political processes. The analysis also includes an evaluation of the respondents regarding these changes. The directions of development of the Youth Climate Strike have been presented through the lens of the young age of its members, which significantly influenced the process of institutionalization within the movement. Elucidating the development trajectory of the Youth Climate Strike and the factors influencing this process seems to be essential for comprehending the dynamics of youth social movements and the nature of youth climate activism in Poland.
dc.abstract.plPoniższa praca jest próbą analizy zmian strukturalnych zachodzących w Młodzieżowym Strajku Klimatycznym (MSK) w latach 2019 – 2014. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na aspekt instytucjonalizacji ruchu oraz wiążące się z tym procesem wyzwania i korzyści. Aby osiągnąć wskazany cel przeprowadzono wywiady swobodne z osobami zaangażowanymi w działalność ruchu, które zwróciły uwagę na stopniową formalizację poszczególnych elementów struktury MSK. W badaniu skupiono się na następujących wymiarach instytucjonalizacji: wzroście liczby członków ruchu, centralizacji procesu podejmowania decyzji, podziale ruchu na mniejsze grupy, formalizacji procesu finansowania działań ruchu oraz włączeniu ruchu w procesy polityczne. W analizie zawarto również oceny osób badanych dotyczące wspomnianych zmian. Kierunki rozwoju Młodzieżowego Strajku Klimatycznego zostały przedstawione przez pryzmat młodego wieku członków, który był czynnikiem w znacznym stopniu regulującym proces instytucjonalizacji ruchu. Analiza sposobu, w jaki przebiegł rozwój Młodzieżowego Strajku Klimatycznego oraz czynników kształtujących ten proces wydaje się kluczowa dla zrozumienia zjawiska młodzieżowych ruchów społecznych oraz kształtu młodzieżowego aktywizmu klimatycznego w Polsce.
