Poszukiwanie queerowych prekursorów w heteronormatywnym świecie

dc.abstract.enThis paper analyzes the ways of presenting queer aspects of Toyen's biography (1902–1980), undertaken and developed in Czech-language literary biographies of Toyen and the catalog of the artist's solo exhibition. The first chapter of the work discusses queer theories and anchors the discussed issues in research theories. The subjects of analysis in the following chapters are: Milena Štráfeová's fictionalized biography To je on! O té, co si říkala Toyen (That's Him! About Her Who Called Herself Toyen) (2021), Andrea Sedláčková's documentary biography Toyen. První dáma surrealismu (Toyen. The First Lady of Surrealism) (2023), and the catalog of Toyen's solo exhibition Toyen. Snící rebelka (Toyen. The Dreaming Rebel) (2021). The analysis will focus on the strategies used by heteronormative creators when interpreting minority queer experiences in their writing or curatorial work. The ways of describing gender expression, friendships, sexuality, and other elements of Toyen's biography, which are not confirmed in historical sources, speak volumes about the roles and imaginations in which the artist is cast by Czech authors, as well as by commentators on their biography.
dc.abstract.plNiniejsza praca analizuje sposoby przedstawienia queerowych wątków biografii Toyen (1902 – 1980), podejmowanych i opracowywanych w czeskojęzycznych biografiach literackich Toyen oraz katalogu wystawy indywidualnej artysty. Pierwszy rozdział pracy omawia teorie queer i mocują omawiane zagadnienia w teoriach badawczych. Przedmiotem analizy w kolejnych rozdziałach są: biografia fabularyzowana Mileny Štráfeovej To je on! O té, co si říkala Toyen (To jest on! O tej co sobie mówiła Toyen) (2021), biografia dokumentalna Andrei Sedláčkovej Toyen. První dáma surrealismu (Toyen. Pierwsza dama surrealizmu) (2023) i katalog wystawy indywidualnej Toyen. Snící rebelka (Toyen. Śniąca buntowniczka) (2021). Analiza będzie się skupiać na strategiach, których używają heteronormatywni twórcy interpretując mniejszościowe doświadczenia queerowe w swojej pracy pisarskiej lub kuratorskiej. Sposoby opisu ekspresji płciowej, relacji przyjaźni, seksualności oraz innych elementów biografii Toyen, nie znajdujących potwierdzenia w źródłach historycznych, wiele natomiast mówią o rolach i wyobrażeniach, w jakich obsadzany jest artysta przez czeskie autorki, ale też przez komentatorów swojej biografii.
