dc.abstract.enThe master's thesis presents an analysis of the life and work of Lalla Romano, an artist engaged in painting, poetry, and prose. The main goal of the dissertation is an analysis of her autobiographical activity, with particular emphasis on photo-texts. It is a form of written expression in which text and photographs collaborate to create an integral literary work. In her books, Lalla Romano combines childhood photographs taken by her father with her own comments based on family memories, aimed at both bringing the world of her childhood closer to the reader and encouraging reflection and independent interpretation of the presented reality. The thesis begins with a description of the life and work of Lalla Romano. Next, due to the central role of photographs in her work, the following part of the thesis is dedicated to the history and significance of photography, including perspectives from well-known authors such as Susan Sontag and Italo Calvino. The last two chapters, on the other hand, focus on various types of photo-texts and the analysis of selected works by the author.

dc.abstract.otherLa presente tesi di laurea magistrale costituisce un'analisi della vita e delle opere di Lalla Romano, un'artista impegnata nella pittura, nella poesia e nella prosa. L'attenzione principale è rivolta alla sua attività autobiografica, con particolare enfasi sui foto-testi. Questi rappresentano un'espressione scritta in cui testo e fotografie collaborano per creare un'opera letteraria integrale. In questa forma di espressione, Lalla Romano combina le fotografie dell'infanzia scattate da suo padre con i propri commenti basati sui ricordi familiari, mirati sia ad avvicinare il lettore al mondo della sua infanzia, sia ad incoraggiare la riflessione e l'interpretazione indipendente della realtà presentata. La tesi inizia con una descrizione della vita e dell'opera di Lalla Romano. Successivamente, data l'importanza centrale delle fotografie nella sua opera, la seguente parte della tesi è dedicata alla storia e al significato della fotografia, includendo le prospettive di autori noti come Susan Sontag e Italo Calvino. Gli ultimi due capitoli, invece, si concentrano sui vari tipi di foto-testi e sull'analisi di opere dell'autrice.

Głównym przedmiotem badania jest działalność autobiograficzna autorki, ze szczególnym naciskiem na foto-teksty. Stanowią one formę wyrazu, w której tekst i zdjęcia współpracują, tworząc integralne dzieło literackie. Lalla Romano łączy w nich fotografie z dzieciństwa, wykonane przez jej ojca z własnymi komentarzami opartymi na rodzinnych wspomnieniach, które mają zarówno przybliżyć czytelnikowi świat jej dzieciństwa, jak i skłonić go do refleksji oraz zachęcić do samodzielnego interpretowania przedstawionej rzeczywistości. Praca rozpoczyna się od opisu życia i twórczości Lalli Romano. Następnie, ze względu na centralną rolę zdjęć w jej twórczości, kolejna część pracy poświęcona jest historii i znaczeniu fotografii, obejmując perspektywy znanych autorów, takich jak Susan Sontag i Italo Calvino. Ostatnie dwa rozdziały skupiają się na różnych rodzajach foto-tekstów oraz analizie wybranych dzieł autorki.
