Wolfgang Bauer presents, czyli o zaskakującej koincydencji kina i teatru w utworze scenicznym „Film i kobieta” (Shakespeare the Sadist)

dc.abstract.enWolfgang Bauer (1942-2005) was an Austrian playwright and author who was renowed for his keen experiments with theatre performance. This article attempts to analyse his 1971 play Shakespeare the Sadist (‘Film and woman’ in Polish translation), which fits entirely into his discourse of presenting the reality in an absurd and grotesque fashion. The play consists of forty nine short scenes, and its transcript resemblances more a film script than theatrical play. Bauer, introducing such cinema attributes as soundtrack, subtitles, slow and fast motion into theatre creates a modern work, in which he challenges the set rules of theatre perception. By doing that, he allows the viewer to enter into a difficult dialogue with the author, director, the text itself and its stage in production.
dc.abstract.plWolfgang Bauer (1942-2005) to austriacki dramatopisarz i twórca nader chętnie eksperymentujący z formą teatralną. Niniejszy artykuł stanowi próbę analizy napisanej przez niego w roku 1971 sztuki pod tytułem Film i kobieta (Shakespeare the Sadist), która doskonale wpisuje się w Bauerowski paradygmat przedstawiania rzeczywistości w sposób absurdalny i groteskowy. Sztuka składa się z 49 krótkich scen, których zapis przypomina raczej scenopis filmowy niż tekst sztuki teatralnej. Bauer, wprowadzając w przestrzeń teatru środki charakterystyczne dla kina: muzykę filmową, zwolnione i przyspieszone tempo, teksty wyświetlane na wzór napisów w kinie, tworzy nowoczesne dzieło, które kwestionuje utarte schematy teatralnej percepcji i pozwala widzowi wejść w niełatwy dialog z autorem, reżyserem, tekstem i przedstawieniem teatralnym.
