Rola ilustracji w książce dla dzieci. Analiza relacji między obrazem a tekstem w oparciu o twórczość Jana Marcina Szancera

dc.abstract.enThe work discusses the relationship between image and word in books, based on the works of Jan Marcin Szancer. The theoretical part consists of deliberations about the function of illustrations and their role in printed publications. The paper describes the interactions that occur between the text and the illustrations, which allude to it. It contains a brief biography of Jan Marcin Szancer, which served as a base for further reflection about the influence of personal life, relationships with other artists or mentors and private passions of the artist in his work. The aim of the work is to investigate the relationship between a message transmitted through words and a message transmitted visually through illustrations. The connection between word and image is researched in the context of publications destined for children, on account of the characteristics of their reception of both visual content and text. The work includes analysis of iconographic material, which involves Jan Marcin Szancer's illustrations from chosen iconic books for a younger audience. The matter of the interaction between the illustration and the text and how they influence each other is also taken into consideration in the following paper.
dc.abstract.plPraca omawia relację między obrazem a słowem w książce na podstawie twórczości i prac Jana Marcina Szancera. Część teoretyczna stanowi rozważania nad funkcją ilustracji i jej rolą w publikacjach drukowanych. Opisywane są interakcje, które zachodzą między tekstem a ilustracjami, które do niego nawiązują. Praca zawiera również życiorys Jana Marcina Szancera, który posłużył dalszym rozważaniom na temat wpływu życia osobistego, relacji z innymi artystami i mentorami oraz prywatnych pasji ilustratora na jego twórczość. Celem pracy jest zbadanie zależności między komunikatem wyrażonym słowem, a tym przekazanym wizualnie w postaci ilustracji. Relacja słowa i obrazu jest badana w kontekście publikacji przeznaczonych dla dzieci, ze względu na specyfikę zarówno ich odbioru treści wizualnej, jak i tekstu. W pracy przeprowadzona jest analiza materiału ikonograficznego, który stanowią ilustracje Jana Marcina Szancera do wybranych kultowych publikacji przeznaczonych dla młodszych odbiorców. Rozpatrzona jest kwestia interakcji ilustracji i tekstu oraz jak na siebie wzajemnie wpływają.
