Muzyka symfoniczna (1931) Romana Palestra. Rekonstrukcja i edycja krytyczna partytury

dc.abstract.enThe present work includes the reconstruction and editing of the manuscript of the work Muzyka symfoniczna by Roman Palester (1907-1989). The score of the work, which was also the culmination of the young composer's education at the Warsaw Conservatory, was burned during World War II. Only the individual voices were preserved, and after the war they found their way to the Polish Music Publishing House. The work was performed many times in the interwar period in Poland and abroad, under the direction of Grzegorz Fitelberg. Although the author himself was reluctant about his debut years later, Muzyka symfoniczna marks a turning point in Palester's creative life, and the work itself was favorably reviewed by critics. The edition is supplemented by a discussion of the composer's life and work up to the time of his graduation, as well as a brief description of the formal and musical properties of the reconstructed work.
dc.abstract.plW niniejszej pracy zawarta jest rekonstrukcja i edycja rękopisu utworu Muzyka symfoniczna autorstwa Romana Palestra (1907–1989). Partytura dzieła, które było także zwieńczeniem edukacji młodego kompozytora w Konserwatorium Warszawskim, spłonęła w trakcie II wojny światowej. Zachowały się jedynie poszczególne głosy, które po wojnie trafiły do Polskiego Wydawnictwa Muzycznego. Utwór ten był wielokrotnie wykonywany w okresie międzywojennym w kraju i za granicą, pod dyrekcją Grzegorza Fitelberga. Choć sam autor po latach niechętnie odnosił się do swojego debiutu, Muzyka symfoniczna stanowi punkt zwrotny w życiu twórczym Palestra, a samo dzieło zostało pozytywnie ocenione przez krytyków. Edycję uzupełnia omówienie życia i twórczości kompozytora do czasu ukończenia studiów, a także krótka charakterystyka własności formalno-muzycznych zrekonstruowanego utworu.
