Rola Rosji w wojnie domowej w Syrii w latach 2015-2019

dc.abstract.enThe subject of this master's thesis is the role of Russia in the Syrian civil war between 2015 and 2019. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the motives and actions of the Russian Federation in the context of its military intervention in Syria initiated in 2015. Russia played a significant role in the Syrian civil war and in strengthening the position of President Bashar al-Assad. Syria has been a longstanding partner of Russia in the Middle East. Maintaining the regime after the outbreak of the civil war was crucial for Russia to retain its influence in the region. The intervention also had other objectives, including combating Islamic extremism and rebuilding Russia's position on the international stage. The intervention represented the implementation of a new foreign policy by the Federation in both regional and global contexts. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter presents the history of Syria from its independence to the outbreak of the Arab Spring. The second chapter discusses the foreign policy of the Federation, while the third chapter describes Russia's cooperation with countries of the region.
dc.abstract.plPrzedmiotem badań niniejszej pracy magisterskiej jest rola Rosji w wojnie domowej w Syrii w latach 2015-2019. Celem pracy jest analiza motywów i działań Federacji Rosyjskiej w ramach interwencji wojskowej w Syrii rozpoczętej w 2015 roku. Rosja odegrała szczególną rolę w syryjskiej wojnie domowej oraz umocnieniu pozycji prezydenta Baszszara al-Asada. Syria jest wieloletnim partnerem Rosji na Bliskim Wschodzie. Utrzymanie reżimu po wybuchu wojny domowej było kluczowe dla zachowania wpływów Rosji w regionie. Interwencja miała również inne cele, do których należało zwalczanie islamskiego ekstremizmu czy odbudowanie pozycji Rosji na arenie międzynarodowej. Interwencja stanowiła realizację nowej polityki zagranicznej Federacji w ujęciu regionalnym oraz globalnym. Praca jest podzielona na trzy rozdziały. Rozdział pierwszy przedstawia historię Syrii od uzyskania przez nią niepodległości do wybuchu Arabskiej Wiosny. Drugi rozdział omawia politykę zagraniczną Federacji, trzeci z kolei opisuje współpracę Rosji z państwami regionu.
