Spatial, social and economical dynamic of contemporary Warsaw – City profile

dc.abstract.enThe aim of this article is to show the most important directions of Warsaw's development, with emphasis to the systemic transformation, as well as to show trends in social, spatial and economic development. The following issues are going to be discussed below: systemic transformation in Warsaw (administrative division, labour market, industrial changes of the city), the areas of spatial development of the city, revitalization and management of the city development, demographic changes, transport and the role of the river in Warsaw. The article shows the data from the Central Statistical Office, the City Council and the results of own research.
