Survey of the Pander Tibetan Collection at the Jagiellonian Library, Cracow and Overview on the Literary Genre of Rig pa 'dzin pa'i pho nya, "Messengar of a Yogi"

dc.abstract.enPander Tibetan collection was brought to Europe by the German scholar Eugen Pander from China at the end of the 19th century. The biggest portion of the Tibetan collection is found in Pander A and B. Several Tibetan texts are also included in Pander C and Pander Pantheon as part of Wanli Kanjur. Ngag dbang 'jig grags the author of the text Rig pa 'dzin pa'i pho nya made several valuable contributions to Tibetan literary culture, mainly in the field of Tibetan poetry. Among four of his contributions one of his work is commentary on Dandin's Kavyadarsa, called "Fearless Roar of a Lion, Mi 'jigs seng ge'i nga ro". The text Rig pa 'dzin pa'i pho nya is written in poems.
