L’inquiétante étrangeté dans La Vouivre de Marcel Aymé : la femme, son corps et l’Autre

dc.abstract.enThis work is dedicated to the phenomenon of uncanny (Freud), characteristic of fantastic literature, in Marcel Aymé's novel La Vouivre. The author analyses the way in which the eponymous character of the wyvern is depicted, paying particular attention to the issue of the female body and femininity. This hybrid of woman and serpent—both attractive and repulsive—embodies the uncanny. The author emphasises that the woman, perceived as the Other (de Beauvoir), arouses mixed feelings of fascination and fear among the members of the community in which she lives. The author suggests that this fantastic tale of the unsettlingly strange wyvern should be seen as a symbolic representation of the position of women in society.

dc.abstract.otherLe présent travail est consacré au phénomène de « l'inquiétante étrangeté » (Freud), caractéristique de la littérature fantastique, dans le roman de Marcel Aymé La Vouivre. L'auteure analyse la manière dont le personnage éponyme est représenté, en prêtant une attention particulière à la question du corps féminin et de la féminité. Cette hybride de femme et de serpent – à la fois attirante et répugnante – incarne « l'inquiétante étrangeté ». L'auteure souligne que la femme, perçue comme l'Autre (de Beauvoir), suscite des sentiments à la fois de fascination et de peur parmi les membres de la communauté où elle vit. L'auteure propose de considérer cette histoire fantastique de la vouivre inquiétante et étrangère comme une représentation symbolique de la position de la femme dans la société.
dc.abstract.plNiniejsza praca poświęcona jest, charakterystycznemu dla literatury fantastycznej, zjawisku ,,niepokojącej obcości” (Freud) w powieści Marcela Aymé’ego La Vouivre. Autorka analizuje sposób przedstawienia tytułowej postaci wywerny, zwracając szczególną uwagę na kwestię kobiecego ciała i kobiecości. Ta hybryda kobiety i węża – jednocześnie atrakcyjna i odrażająca – uosabia ,,niepokojącą obcość”. Autorka podkreśla, że kobieta postrzegana jako ,,Inna” (de Beauvoir), budzi mieszane uczucia fascynacji i strachu wśród członków społeczności, w której żyje. Autorka proponuje, aby tę fantastyczną opowieść o niepokojąco obcej wywernie uznać za symboliczną reprezentację pozycji kobiety w społeczeństwie.
