Testimoniare la storia: Il Racconto del Vajont di Marco Paolini

dc.abstract.enThe purpose of this master's thesis is to analyze the techniques used in Marco Paolini's narrative theater. The study concerns the artistic forms used by the author to give the testimony about the events and tragic consequences of the negligence, misconduct and mistakes committed during the construction of the Vajont dam. The work is divided into three chapters. The first chapter constitutes the historical part and presents a general overview of twentieth-century Italian theater and the origins of the narrative theater along with its characteristics and the figures of the first narrators. The second chapter is devoted to the figure of Marco Paolini, his career, his inspirations and his most renowned opera, “Il racconto del Vajont”. The final chapter discusses the characteristics of the narrative theater featured in Paolini’s work, such as the modality of the narration, the interaction with the audience, the scenography, and the location of the performance. With the concentration on these three pillars of narrative theater, there is conducted an analysis of the techniques of giving testimony in the work of Marco Paolini. Based on the 1997 theater performance, there are studied the narrative methods used by the author who, at the same time, is the so-called actor/narrator, observer of history and member of society.

dc.abstract.otherLo scopo di questa tesi magistrale è quello di analizzare le tecniche usate nel teatro di narrazione di Marco Paolini. Lo studio riguarda le forme artistiche utilizzate dall'autore per testimoniare gli eventi e le tragiche conseguenze delle negligenze, delle scorrettezze e degli errori commessi durante lo svolgimento della costruzione della diga del Vajont. Il lavoro è diviso in tre capitoli. Il primo capitolo costituisce la parte storica e presenta un panorama generale del teatro italiano del Novecento e le origini del teatro di narrazione, le sue caratteristiche e le figure dei primi narratori. Il secondo capitolo è dedicato al personaggio di Marco Paolini, alla sua carriera, alle sue ispirazioni ed alla sua opera più nota, Il racconto del Vajont. L'ultimo capitolo analizza le caratteristiche del teatro di narrazione presenti nell'opera di Paolini, come le modalità della narrazione, l'interazione con il pubblico, la scenografia ed il luogo della rappresentazione. Concentrandosi su questi tre pilastri del teatro di narrazione, viene effettuata un'analisi delle tecniche del testimoniare applicate nell'opera di Marco Paolini. Sulla base dello spettacolo teatrale del 1997, vengono studiate le modalità di narrazione utilizzate dall'autore che, al tempo stesso, è il cosiddetto attore/narratore, osservatore della storia e membro della società.
dc.abstract.plZamierzeniem niniejszej pracy magisterskiej jest analiza technik stosowanych w teatrze narracji Marca Paoliniego. Opracowanie dotyczy form artystycznych użytych przez autora w celu dania świadectwa wydarzeniom oraz tragicznym skutkom zaniedbań, uchybień i popełnionych błędów związanych z budową tamy Vajont. Praca została podzielona na trzy rozdziały. Pierwszy rozdział stanowi część historyczną i przedstawia ogólną panoramę włoskiego teatru XX wieku oraz początki teatru narracji, jego cechy charakterystyczne a także sylwetki pierwszych narratorów. Drugi rozdział poświęcony jest postaci Marca Paoliniego, jego karierze, inspiracjom oraz jego najbardziej znanej sztuce „Il racconto del Vajont. Ostatni rozdział analizuje aspekty teatru narracji obecne w sztuce Paoliniego, takie jak: sposób narracji, interakcja z publicznością oraz scenografia i miejsce wystawiania spektaklu. Skupiając się na przytoczonych trzech filarach teatru narracji, przeprowadzono analizę technik dawania świadectwa w sztuce Marca Paoliniego. Bazując na spektaklu teatralnym z 1997 roku przestudiowano sposoby, jakich użył autor a zarazem tak zwany aktor/narrator będąc jednocześnie obserwatorem historii i członkiem społeczeństwa.
