Kino Wilhelma Sasnala. Od impresji i teledysku do współczesnego arthouse’u

dc.abstract.enFilm is for Wilhelm Sasnal a crucial form of artistic expression. For years remaining in the shadow of his paintings, audiovisual works gradually developed and emancipated, gaining a place in galleries and eventually on cinema screens. The author of this thesis attempts to capture this phenomenon: he proposes to view Wilhelm Sasnal as both an artist and filmmaker and to trace back his work up to the point of his feature film debut. The analysis includes the nature of the works, their status in the context of selected exhibitions and their position on the Polish art scene.

Pozostając przez lata w cieniu obrazów, utwory audiowizualne stopniowo rozwijały się i emancypowały, zyskując miejsce w galerii, a z czasem na ekranach kin. Autor pracy podejmuje próbę uchwycenia tego fenomenu: proponuje spojrzenie na Wilhelma Sasnala jako na artystę-filmowca oraz prześledzenie jego twórczości do momentu debiutu fabularnego. Analizie poddany zostaje charakter utworów, ich status w kontekście wybranych wystaw oraz pozycja na polskiej scenie artystycznej.
