dc.abstract.enThis article aims presenting the fate of two brilliant musicians and composers - Aleksandr Koshits (1875-1944) and Sergei Rachmaninow (1873-1943). The autor of this atricle traces historical patterns of the tragedy of these genii who were forced to emigrate, could not return to their homeland but made it famous through their phenomenal talent shown in the world. The article analyzses materials presented in the archives of Aleksander and Tatiana Koshitciv in Winnipeg, as well as the latest scientific research. The autor concludes that Aleksandr Koshits and his choir had a mission of propaganding Ukrainian songs and spiritual music in Europe and USA.
