Praca dyplomowa przedstawia studium porównawcze „Dolore minimo” autorstwa Giovanny Cristiny Vivinetto i „trans girl suicide museum” autorstwa Hannah Baer. Porównanie obu tekstów ukazuje, że utwory te obrazują różnorodne formy metamorfoz. W pierwszym rozdziale rozważane są terminy takie jak płeć, gender, queer i transpłciowość, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem ich historii, przemian w czasie i kontekstów użycia. Nakreśla się także, jako jedną z podstawowych ram późniejszego badania, treść „Metamorfoz” Owidiusza. W rozdziale drugim teksty Baer i Vivinetto rozpatrywane są odrębnie, aby szczegółowo pogłębić ich interpretację. Analiza porównawcza uwydatnia liczne podobieństwa między obydwoma tekstami, pomimo ich różnic tematycznych i stylistycznych, potwierdzając hipotezę, że literatura opowiadająca o osobach transpłciowych i/lub przez nie tworzona w szerokim zakresie wykorzystuje motyw metamorfozy. Wnioski płynące z analizy stanowią bodziec do dalszych badań nad tym obszarem twórczości literackiej.

The thesis presents a comparative study focused on “Dolore minimo” by Giovanna Cristina Vivinetto and “trans girl suicide museum” by Hannah Baer. The comparison between the two texts demonstrates that the books represent different forms of metamorphoses. In the first chapter, terms such as sex, gender, queer, and transgender are examined, with particular attention to their history, transformations over time, and contexts of use. Additionally, as one of the fundamental aspects of the study, the content of Ovid's “Metamorphoses” is explored. In the second chapter, Baer's and Vivinetto's texts are considered separately to deepen their interpretation. The comparative analysis highlights the numerous similarities between the two texts, despite their thematic and stylistic differences, confirming the hypothesis that transgender literature makes extensive use of the motif of metamorphoses. The conclusions drawn from the analysis provide an incentive for further research in this area of literary production.

La tesi di laurea presenta uno studio comparato focalizzato su Dolore minimo di Giovanna Cristina Vivinetto e trans girl suicide museum di Hannah Baer. Il confronto tra i due testi dimostra che i libri rappresentano diverse forme di metamorfosi. Nel primo capitolo vengono esaminati i termini come sesso, genere, queer e transgender, con particolare attenzione alla loro storia, alle trasformazioni nel tempo e ai contesti d’uso. Si esplora inoltre, come uno degli aspetti fondamentali dello studio, il contenuto delle Metamorfosi di Ovidio. Nel secondo capitolo si considerano separatamente i testi di Baer e Vivinetto per approfondirne l’interpretazione. L’analisi comparativa mette in luce le numerose somiglianze tra i due testi, nonostante le loro differenze tematiche e stilistiche, confermando l’ipotesi che la letteratura transgender faccia ampio uso del motivo della metamorfosi. Le conclusioni tratte dall’analisi costituiscono uno stimolo per ulteriori ricerche su questo ambito della produzione letteraria.
