Obraz polskości w węgierskiej powieści Györgya Spiró pt. Mesjasze

dc.abstract.enThe purpose of this study is to analyze the image of Poles that Hungarian writer György Spiró presented in his novel Messiahs (2007). The three chapters preceding the main part of the work successively include: (1) a description of the Polish Great Emigration, which serves as the novel's plot background, (2) a brief biography of the author György Spiró, including his fascination with Polish themes and the history of the scandal sparked by another of his novels, Ikszowie (1981), and (3) an examination of Messiahs in terms of the genre of the pseudo-historical novel. The fourth chapter analyzes the novel in three contexts. The first is the portrayal of Poles as members of Andrzej Towianski's national-religious sect, the second context relates to their attachment to the idea of national messianism, and the third concerns the phenomenon of Poles' émigré patriotism, which is seen as a form of psychological burden. The final, fifth chapter discusses the ironic nature of Spiró's narrative, which complements the novel's depiction of Polishness centered around the process of demythologizing the heroes of national myths.
dc.abstract.plCelem pracy jest analiza wizerunku Polaków, który węgierski pisarz György Spiró przedstawił w swojej powieści pt. Mesjasze (2007). W poprzedzających główną część pracy trzech rozdziałach kolejno zawarto: (1) opis polskiej Wielkiej Emigracji, która jest tłem fabularnym powieści, (2) krótką biografię autora Györgya Spiró z uwzględniem jego fascynacji tematyką polską oraz histori skandalu zainstniałego wokół innej jego powieści pt. Ikszowie (1981), a także (3) badanie Mesjaszy pod kątem gatunku powieści pseudohistorycznej. W rozdziale czwartym dokonano analizy powieści w trzech kontekstach. Pierwszym z nich jest przedstawienie Polaków jako członków narodowo-religijnej sekty Andrzeja Towiańskiego, drugi kontekst odnosi się do ich przywiązania względem idei narodowego mesjanizmu, trzeci natomiast dotyczy zjawiska emigracyjnego patriotyzmu Polaków, który jest postrzegany jako forma psychicznego obciążenia. W ostatnim, piątym rozdziale omówiono ironiczny charakter narracji Spiró, która dopełnia zawartego w powieści obrazu polskości skupionego wokół procesu demitologizacji bohaterów narodowych mitów.
