Królestwo brokatu. Błysk jako medium kulturowej transgresji

dc.abstract.enGlitter is a material that is both ubiquitous and ambiguous. It has an extraordinary ability to cross boundaries and combine seemingly contradictory aesthetic and cultural fields. Balancing on these extremes, it moves seamlessly between the world of childish fantasy and the realm of mature femininity. On the one hand, it is a symbol of liberation and queer expression, while on the other it can be a tool of oppression against the body and the environment. Its duality is also manifested in its social function -- it can be both a form of reward and punishment, a bearer of deep values or a cheap substitute for luxury. This paper examines specific examples of how glitter functions in a variety of contexts, exploring how its transgressive nature affects perceptions of concepts such as gender, social class and sexuality. The goal is not only to understand the role of glitter as an internally contradictory cultural phenomenon, but also to use it as a tool to better understand the complexity and dynamics of contemporary culture.
dc.abstract.plBrokat jest materiałem wszechobecnym i jednocześnie niejednoznacznym. Posiada niezwykłą zdolność przekraczania granic oraz łączenia pozornie sprzecznych sfer estetycznych i kulturowych. Balansując na tych skrajnościach, płynnie przemieszcza się między światem dziecięcej fantazji i sferą dojrzałej kobiecości. Z jednej strony stanowi symbol wyzwolenia i queerowej ekspresji, z drugiej może być narzędziem opresji wobec ciała i środowiska naturalnego. Jego dualizm objawia się również w funkcji społecznej – może być zarówno formą nagrody, jak i kary, nosicielem głębokich wartości lub tanim substytutem luksusu. Niniejsza praca analizuje konkretne przykłady funkcjonowania brokatu w różnorodnych kontekstach, badając, jak jego transgresyjna natura wpływa na postrzeganie takich pojęć jak płeć, klasa społeczna czy seksualność. Celem jest nie tylko zrozumienie roli brokatu jako wewnętrznie sprzecznego kulturowego fenomenu, ale także wykorzystanie go jako narzędzia do lepszego zrozumienia złożoności i dynamiki współczesnej kultury.
