Nuclear Structure Calculations in Ne-20 with No-Core Configuration–Interaction Model

dc.abstract.enNegative parity states in 20Ne and the Gamow–Teller strength dis- tribution for the ground-state beta decay of 20Na are calculated for the very first time using recently developed No-Core Configuration–Interaction model. The approach is based on the multi-reference density functional theory involving isospin and angular-momentum projections. Advantages and shortcomings of the method are briefly discussed.
