Uproszczony widok
This project is devoted to the exploration of a contemporary philosophical concept – the human self, and by combining literary criticism with philosophical anthropology aims at rediscovering such selves in mystical writings. The two authors, who will be discussed in this thesis, stand on the opposite sides of the river of time. Margery Kempe lived in England in the late Middle Ages, while Søren Kierkegaard epitomises the Protestant theology of the Danish Golden Age (mid-19th century).
