European Union’s policy regarding Middle-Eastern refugees after 2015

dc.abstract.enThis thesis provides critical assessment of the European Union's policy on Middle Eastern refugees, particularly in Greece, France, and Italy, in the post-2015 landscape. The study analyses implementation of the EU's immigration policy through examination of legal frameworks. The paper focus on the involvement of Common European Asylum Systems (CEAS) and UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR). The report focusses on policy implementation in specific member states and unravels key violations and challenges. The reports also indicate straining of member states’ resources and instruments, such as the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) and European Social Fund (ESF+) because of rising number of asylum seekers. Greece, France, and Italy faced challenges in managing the refuges and acknowledge the need for adaptive and compassionate policies. Overall, the analysis shows refugee migration face complex web of challenges while seeking help in Europe. The report emphasizes the need for continuous reassessment of migration governance policies.
