Transfer kultury arabskiej w dziejach Polski. OGNIWA TRANSFERU. O ROLI POŚREDNIKÓW MIĘDZY KULTURĄ ARABSKĄ A POLSKĄ. Tom II

dc.abstract.enThis is the second volume from the Transfer of Arabic Culture in the Polish History series. The series presents the results of work by a team of researchers from various disciplines, performed as a part of the research programme under the National Humanities Development Programme: Cultural transfer as the transdisciplinary element of the science of intercultural relations, as exemplified by the impact of Arabic culture on the cultural heritage of Poland (Project No. 2bH 15 0156 83 for the years 2016–2020). The researchers focused on various elements, areas, and fields in which the Arabic culture somehow interacted with the Polish culture: from early mediaeval archaeological finds, manuscripts by early Arab travellers, to direct travels by Poles and the memoirs they left, their participation in diplomatic relations with the Arab world, and finally to science, literature, and arts. The project also included studying the role of intermediaries of other ethnic origins in the transfer of the Arabic culture into the Polish culture. The researchers also paid attention to the spiritual sphere, including philosophy, even religion, as well as language and linguistic issues. As one may see, the range of interactions between the Polish and Arabic cultures has been extensive, multidimensional, and multifaceted. Volume two, entitled Transfer links. The role of intermediaries between Arabic and Polish culture begins with a theoretical-methodological introduction to cultural transfer theory. Further texts of the volume already concern various ethnic-cultural groups as intermediaries, which are the first element of the process of cultural transfer. The role of the Turks, Karaites, Jews, Armenians and Tatars as well as members of the contemporary Arab diaspora in the transfer of tangible and intangible elements of Arabic culture to Polish culture is discussed.

Seria ta prezentuje wyniki prac zespołu naukowców różnych dyscyplin, realizującego w ramach Narodowego Programu Rozwoju Humanistyki projekt badawczy pt. Transfer kulturowy jako transdyscyplinarny element nauki o stosunkach międzykulturowych na przykładzie wpływów kultury arabskiej w dziedzictwie kulturowym Polski (projekt nr 2bH 15 0156 83 na lata 2016–2020).Badacze ci zajęli się różnymi elementami oraz dziedzinami, w których kultura arabska zetknęła się z polską, poczynając od wczesnośredniowiecznych znalezisk archeologicznych, rękopisów wczesnych podróżników arabskich przez bezpośrednie podróże Polaków, pozostawione przez nich pamiętniki, ich udział w relacjach dyplomatycznych ze światem arabskim po naukę, literaturę i sztukę. W ramach projektu autorzy przebadali także rolę, jaką odegrali w transferze kultury arabskiej do kultury polskiej pośrednicy o innym pochodzeniu etnicznym. Nie pominięto również sfery duchowej, czyli filozofii, a nawet religii oraz zagadnień językowych. Jak zatem widać, zakres zetknięcia się polskiej kultury z arabską jest bardzo szeroki, wielowymiarowy i wielowątkowy.Tom drugi, zatytułowany Ogniwa transferu. O roli pośredników między kulturą arabską a polską, rozpoczyna się teoretyczno-metodologicznym wprowadzeniem do teorii transferu kulturowego. Dalsze teksty tomu dotyczą już różnych grup etnicznokulturowych jako pośredników, stanowiących pierwszy element procesu transferu kulturowego. Omówiona została rola Turków, Karaimów, Żydów, Ormian i Tatarów, a także członków współczesnej diaspory arabskiej w przekazie materialnych i niematerialnych elementów kultury arabskiej do kultury polskiej.
