dc.abstract.enThe aim of this BA’s thesis is to analyse Marguerite-Hélène Mahé's novel Eudora ou l'île enchantée in terms of the island's fantastic elements, represented in the story by the legendary figure of Réunionese folklore, Grand-mère Kalle. The author resorts to fiction to present the link between the reality of the island of Bourbon in the eighteenth century and the island of Réunion in the twentieth century from an entirely new perspective, created by the fantastical aspects of the novel. With Eudora, we discover the history, culture and secrets of this island.

dc.abstract.otherL'objectif du présent mémoire est d'analyser le roman Eudora ou l'île enchantée de Marguerite-Hélène Mahé au regard du fantastique de l'île, représenté dans ce roman par la figure légendaire du folklore réunionnais, Grand-mère Kalle. L'autrice recourt à la fiction pour présenter le lien entre la réalité de l'île de Bourbon au XVIIIe siècle et l'île de La Réunion au XXe siècle dans une perspective entièrement nouvelle, créée par les aspects fantastiques du roman. Avec Eudora, nous découvrons l'histoire, la culture et les secrets de cette île.
dc.abstract.plCelem tej pracy jest analiza powieści Eudora ou l'île enchantée autorstwa Marguerite-Hélène Mahé pod kątem fantastycznego wymiaru wyspy, który w tej powieści jest reprezentowany przez legendarną postać z folkloru reuniońskiego, Grand-mère Kalle. Autorka sięga po fikcję, aby przedstawić więź pomiędzy rzeczywistością osiemnastowiecznej wyspy Bourbon i dwudziestowiecznej wyspy Reunion z zupełnie nowej perspektywy, stworzonej dzięki aspektom fantastycznym powieści. Razem z Eudorą poznajemy historię, kulturę i sekrety tej wyspy.
