The Dormitory of the Ghazali Monastery, Sudan

dc.abstract.enThis contribution presents some important results of the excavations at the Ghazali monastery in Wadi Abu Dom, Northern Province, Sudan, completed two months before the submission of the paper. The site, one of two fully excavated Nubian monasteries, is crucial for our understanding of medieval Nubian monasticism. The study focuses on the architecture of the cells and the pottery finds from the building.
