dc.abstract.enThe purpose of this article is to show, through selected sources, the relations of Indians and Africans against the background of the political conditions of the time: the colonial policy of Great Britain, the interests of white settlers, as well as the emerging modern political movements. The topics include mutual perception, comparison in terms of work and education, intermarriage, religious convertions, interethnic violence and political collaboration.
