Wzorce patriotyzmu jako przedmiot sporów i przewartościowań w świetle przemian cywilizacyjnych i przekształceń ustrojowych w Polsce po 1989 roku
| dc.abstract.en | The dissertation entitled Models of patriotism as the subject of disputes and revaluations in the light of changes of civilization and systems of government in Poland after 1989 is the first complex and multidisciplinary study of patriotism in the context of the backdrop of socio-political changes which occurred in Poland after the fall of communism. The thesis considers the international context as the discussion over the model of patriotism is an element of a broader discourse which is occurring in the western world, an element of a conflict around the model of this world. The doctoral thesis discusses both the broader international context and its Polish specifics. Current disputes around the model and shape of patriotism have their roots and genesis in the past, and thus are the disputes over history. Comprehensive historical references and analyses of old disputes around patriotism permit a better understanding of the current discourse. The dissertation presents an innovative thesis which states and proves that the proposition of liberal patriotism is in essence, a proposition of civilization. Both Polish and international literature lacks a monographic study analyzing and describing this phenomenon in a comprehensive manner. The available existing studies are usually fragmentary and focus on specific aspects of the matter; typically narrowing the discussed subject to the boundaries of a single discipline; history of idea, political philosophy, history, social psychology or political science. Contrary to these studies, this theses attempts to provide an interdisciplinary and multi-faceted view on the subject matter, and to encompass all of these disciplines.The research process of these theses employed an all-encompassing approach integrating various scientific methods and technics specific to individual social and political sciences. In particular, the thesis employs the historic-comparative method, phenomenological-hermeneutic, qualitative and synthetic method. The historic-comparative method was employed to grasp the historic background of current disputes as well as a pattern, reference and platform for contemporary phenomena and their genesis, and terms discussed in the thesis. These phenomena include patriotism, family, truth, freedom, nation, nationalism, state, fascism, Nazism, chauvinism. The phenomenological-hermeneutic method permitted to reconstruct and interpret the inner logic of individual and particular socio-political visions and the ways of thinking about the model and shape of Polish and world’s culture. The qualitative techniques allowed it to describe Polish elites and patriotic attitudes of Poles as well as family, Church and other communities. Finally, the synthetic method allowed it to grasp all examined, in the thesis, phenomena in a manner of logical cause and effect relationship and describe them in form of thesis.References used in the development of the thesis include: monographs, articles, statements published in printed and electronic forms of newspapers and magazines, memoirs, interviews, reports, documents, statements and documentary films. These references include both Polish and international sources. The most important press titles published from 1989 to March 2015 were analyzed. Also, publications and statements posted at the internet or presented on television and in the radio, were examined. The multidisciplinary approach to the research was necessary as the study included materials from various disciplines including: political science, political philosophy, history, history of ideas, theology, sociology, social psychology, non-fiction literature. |

Praca uwzględnia kontekst międzynarodowy, jako że dyskusja na temat kształtu patriotyzmu stała się elementem szerszego dyskursu, toczącego się w zachodnim świecie, elementem walki o ład ustrojowy i cywilizacyjny. W dysertacji uchwycony jest zarówno ów szeroki światowy kontekst, jak i jego polska specyfika. Dzisiejsze spory o kształt patriotyzmu mają swoje źródło i genezę w przeszłości, są więc też sporem o przeszłość. Obszerne odniesienia historyczne i analiza dawnych sporów o patriotyzm, pozwalają lepiej zrozumieć dzisiejszy dyskurs. Praca stawia nowatorską tezę, mówiącą, że propozycja patriotyzmu liberalnego jest w istocie nową propozycją cywilizacyjną, i dowodzi jej słuszności. W polskiej i zagranicznej literaturze naukowej brak jest opracowania monograficznego, w którym w sposób kompleksowy przeprowadzono by analizę tego złożonego zjawiska. Istnieją opracowania fragmentaryczne, dotyczące poszczególnych jego aspektów, i zwykle ograniczające się do perspektywy zakreślonej w granicach jednej dziedziny; historii idei, filozofii politycznej, historii, psychologii społecznej, czy politologii. Ta rozprawa jest próbą interdyscyplinarnego, wieloaspektowego spojrzenia na to zagadnienie i obejmuje wszystkie te dziedziny. W procesie badawczym zastosowane zostało podejście integralne, łączące różne metody i techniki badawcze właściwe dla danych nauk społecznych i politycznych. Wykorzystano w szczególności metodę historyczno-porównawczą, fenomenologiczo-hermeneutyczną, metodę jakościową oraz syntetyczną. Metoda historyczno-porównawcza została zastosowana w celu uchwycenia tła historycznego dzisiejszych sporów, ale także wzorca i płaszczyzny odniesienia dla omawianych w rozprawie współczesnych zjawisk i pojęć oraz ich genezy, takich jak: patriotyzm, rodzina, prawda, wolność, naród, nacjonalizm, państwo, faszyzm, nazizm, szowinizm. Metoda fenomenologiczno-hermeneutyczna pozwoliła na rekonstrukcję i interpretację wewnętrznej logiki poszczególnych wizji społeczno-politycznych i sposobów myślenia o kształcie kulturowym Polski i świata. Metoda jakościowa posłużyła do opisu polskich elit i postaw patriotycznych Polaków, a także rodziny, Kościoła i innych wspólnot. Wreszcie metoda syntetyczna dała możliwość uchwycenia wszystkich, badanych w rozprawie zjawisk w logiczny ciąg przyczynowo-skutkowy i ujęcie go w formę rozprawy. Na bazę źródłową rozprawy składają się: monografie, artykuły i wypowiedzi pochodzące z prasy drukowanej i elektronicznej, wspomnienia, wywiady i relacje, dokumenty, oświadczenia, oraz filmy dokumentalne. Korzystano ze źródeł polskich i zagranicznych. Poddane zostały analizie najważniejsze tytuły prasowe na przestrzeni czasu od 1989 roku do dnia dzisiejszego (marzec 2015). Dokonano także przeglądu publikacji i wypowiedzi internetowych oraz telewizyjnych i radiowych. Interdyscyplinarne ujęcie badań wiązało się z koniecznością pracy nad materiałami z zakresu różnych dziedzin: politologii, filozofii politycznej, historii, historii idei, teologii, socjologii, psychologii społecznej, literatury faktu. |
