W poszukiwaniu tożsamości. Autoportret fotograficzny jako gatunek sztuki wizualnej. Dyplom praktyczny.

dc.abstract.enIn this thesis, I examine the photographic self-portrait as a distinct genre within visual arts. I provide a comprehensive classification of self-portraits based on the circumstances employed by photographers in creating their images, the thematic predispositions and creative ambitions of the artists, the underlying purpose behind the creation of self-portraits, and the resultant impact on the viewer. The self-portrait is presented as the artist's unique voice, serving as a tool for the exploration and presentation of personal identity, as well as a means to depict the history of humanity. The discussion encompasses the self-portrait as a form of staging, a quest for answers, a documentary record, and a socially engaged instrument for narrating stories and presenting the culture of both contemporary and historical epochs. The self-portrait is also explored as a method of self-therapy, revealing it as a mirror reflecting both the individual and the society in which they reside. Furthermore, this thesis analyzes the photographic series of notable artist-photographers from around the world, including Diego Goldberg, Konrad Kuzyszyn, Claude Cahun, Francesca Woodman, and Aneta Grzeszykowska. Through my own creative work, I endeavor to capture the essence of the self-portrait.
dc.abstract.plW niniejszej pracy podejmuję analizę autoportretu fotograficznego jako osobnego gatunku sztuki wizualnej. Przedstawiam klasyfikację autoportretu ze względu na wykorzystane przez fotografa okoliczności do powstania zdjęcia, predyspozycje tematyczne i ambicje twórcze artysty, sam cel stworzenia autoportretu oraz efekt końcowy, jaki poczuł odbiorca. Przedstawiam autoportret jako własny głos artysty, narzędzie do zbadania i zaprezentowania (sobie i innym) własnej tożsamości, narzędzie do zobrazowania dziejów człowieka. Mówię o autoportrecie jako o inscenizacji, poszukiwaniu odpowiedzi, dokumencie i społecznie zaangażowanym narzędziu do opowiedzenia historii i zaprezentowania kultury współczesnej lub dawnej epoki. Szukam w autoportrecie sposobu na autoterapię, odnajduję autoportret jako lustrzane odbicie jednostki i społeczeństwa, w którym ona żyje. Dokonuję przeglądu fotograficznych cykli artystów-fotografów z całego świata, takich jak Diego Goldberg, Konrad Kuzyszyn, Claude Cahun, Franceska Woodman, Aneta Grzeszykowska. Poprzez własną twórczość w cześci praktycznej próbuję uchwycić esencję autoportretu.
