Wśród badanych przeważało liberalne podejście do omawianej kwestii.

In the theoretical part of the thesis, a brief overview of the drinking culture in Poland from the Middle Ages to modern times is presented. The types, quantities, and reasons for alcohol consumption among members of society throughout the centuries are discussed. The section also includes a detailed description of the Act on Upbringing in Sobriety and Counteracting Alcoholism of 1982, outlining its main principles, methods of regulating alcohol consumption, and preventive measures. The thesis also addresses issues related to the National Health Programme for 2021–2025, whose aim is to reduce the phenomenon of alcoholism and strengthen preventive actions. An important element of the theoretical part concerns the role of the family in shaping appropriate behavioral patterns toward alcohol, particularly in relation to modeling children’s attitudes. The discussion covers the topic of parental attitudes and their influence on the younger generation’s approach to alcohol. In the research section, the diagnostic survey method was applied using a questionnaire addressed to individuals aged 18–35. The study included 105 respondents. The demographic structure of the sample was balanced — participants were divided into two age groups: 18–25 and 26–35 years, with proportions distributed evenly. Respondents had secondary (most often ongoing university education) or higher education and lived in various regions of the country. The aim of the research was to identify factors shaping attitudes toward alcohol consumption in the presence of children, with particular emphasis on the influence of childhood experiences, social norms, and individual beliefs on the acceptance or rejection of this phenomenon. The results indicate that the key factor determining attitudes is experience gained during childhood, which is largely reproduced in adult life. Respondents recognize the negative impact of alcohol consumption in the presence of children but believe that this issue should be regulated by social norms rather than legal provisions. Demographic data had no significant effect on the results obtained. A liberal approach to the issue predominated among the respondents. The findings highlight the need for further parental education and adult training in modeling children’s behavior. It is necessary to increase awareness that many situations involving alcohol consumption in the presence of children are unconsciously repeated and may have long-term educational consequences.
