Ikonografia i treści ideowe ryciny Apoteoza Michała Korybuta Wiśniowieckiego wydanej przez Johanna Hoffmanna w Norymberdze

dc.abstract.en	The subject of this dissertation is the analysis of the iconography of the copperplate engraving Apotheosis of Michał Korybut Wiśniowiecki published by Johann Hoffmann in Nuremberg. First chapter is devoted to identifying the elements of the iconography of the main scene, which takes the form of an apotheosis of the Polish king. This part focuses on the problem of the relationship between the Apotheosis of Michał Korybut Wiśniowiecki and the engraving of Allegory of the reign Zygmunt III by Schelte à Bolswert, which was treated as prototype for the composition of Johann Hoffmann’s print. The connection occurring between these two engravings is the departure point for the question about the reason for the changes that were made in the Nuremberg engraving. The composition of the engraving consists of the main apotheosis scene and a group of scenes depicting the election and coronation of Michał Korybut Wiśniowiecki. The coronation cycle is discussed in the next chapter of this work. According to the information derived from scientifical literature and extant historical sources the identification of respective scenes was conducted in this chapter. The last part of the analysis confronts the previously made conclusions concerning the iconography of the engraving with the context of its provenance. Here the specificity of Johann Hoffmann’s publishing enterprise is discussed, in order to justify the hypothesis made in this thesis. The dissertation compiles the existing scientific research concerning this engraving. By comparing research from the area of history and art history, as well as selected historical sources, this thesis puts into new perspective the issue of interpreting the iconography and ideological concepts of the Apotheosis of Michał Korybut Wiśniowiecki.
dc.abstract.pl	Tematem pracy jest analiza ikonografii ryciny Apoteoza Michała Korybuta Wiśniowieckiego, wykonanej w technice miedziorytu, a wydanej w oficynie Johanna Hoffmanna w Norymberdze. Pierwszy rozdział analizy poświęcony jest identyfikacji elementów ikonografii głównej sceny ryciny, mającej formę apoteozy polskiego króla. W tej części zostanie poruszony problem relacji między Apoteozą Michała Korybuta Wiśniowieckiego i ryciną Alegoria rządów Zygmunta III, autorstwa Schelte à Bolswerta, będącej pierwowzorem kompozycji ryciny, wydanej przez Johanna Hoffmanna. Zależność zachodząca między dwiema rycinami jest punktem wyjścia do postawienia pytania o przyczynę zmian, jakie wprowadzono w rycinie norymberskiej. Kompozycję ryciny wraz z centralną sceną apoteozy władcy, współtworzą sceny przedstawiające elekcję i koronację Michała Korybuta Wiśniowieckiego. Cykl koronacyjny jest zagadnieniem poruszonym w kolejnym rozdziale pracy. Zostało w nim przeprowadzone rozpoznanie treści poszczególnych scen w oparciu o literaturę naukową i teksty źródłowe. Ostatni rozdział analizy poświęcony jest ocenie dotychczas poczynionych wniosków na temat ikonografii ryciny w kontekście miejsca jej powstania. Został tu przedstawiony charakter działalności wydawniczej Johanna Hoffmanna, który daje uzasadnienie postawionym w tej pracy hipotezom dotyczącym zmian formy i treści ryciny. Praca stanowi kompilację wiedzy na temat ryciny. Poprzez zestawienie badań z obszaru historii i historii sztuki, wybranych źródeł historycznych, praca stawia w nowym świetle kwestię interpretacji ikonografii i wątków ideowych Apoteozy Michała Korybuta Wiśniowieckiego.
