dc.abstract.en	The paper addresses the social consequences of the post-communist transformation in Poland, with a particular focus on exploring the professional and personal aspects of people’s lives. These processes are analysed from a multidimensional perspective, covering from macro-social dynamics and changes in the labour market and the sense of social security, as well as the micro-social effects experienced by specific individuals and their families. The theoretical section puts these systemic changes within a historical, political and sociological framework, highlighting the key role of the “Solidarity” movement. It outlines the various adaptive strategies that individuals have adopted in response to changes in the labour market. A separate issue concerns changes within the family unit, with a focus on “euro-orphanhood” as a particularly severe phenomenon linked with an analysis of the differentiated public perceptions of these transformations. The methodological section presents the research problem and objectives, the research tool, the fieldwork procedure and the characteristics of the study group. The third chapter provides an analysis of the research material gathered. This addresses three research questions concerning social security and occupational stability, the impact of the transition on family life and housing, as well as the respondents’ memory and perception of the transformation. The findings reveal a polarisation of attitudes, both positive and negative aspects of the transformation are identified, although the majority of respondents view themselves as its supporters.
dc.abstract.pl	Praca podejmuje tematykę społecznych konsekwencji transformacji ustrojowej w Polsce, kładąc szczególny nacisk na zgłębienie sfery zawodowej oraz prywatnej. Procesy te analizowane są wielowymiarowo, zaczynając od perspektywy makrospołecznej, przez zmiany na rynku pracy oraz w poczuciu bezpieczeństwa socjalnego, a kończąc na mikrospołecznych skutkach odczuwanych przez konkretne jednostki i ich rodziny. Część teoretyczna osadza przemiany ustrojowe w kontekście historycznym, politologicznym oraz socjologicznym, gdzie jako punkt wyjścia przyjmuje się rolę ruchu „Solidarność”. Przywołuje się szereg procesów zachodzących na rynku pracy, które wiązały się z koniecznością przyjmowania zróżnicowanych strategii adaptacyjnych przez jednostki. Odrębną kwestię stanowią zmiany w komórce rodzinnej, gdzie jako szczególnie dotkliwe wskazuje się „eurosieroctwo” – zjawisko wpisujące się w potransformacyjne migracje zarobkowe rodziców. Część teoretyczna kończy się analizą zróżnicowanego postrzegania przemian przez społeczeństwo. W części metodologicznej przedstawia się problematykę oraz cel badań, narzędzie badawcze, sposób prowadzenia badań oraz charakterystykę badanej grupy. W rozdziale trzecim analizie poddawany jest zgromadzony materiał badawczy. Analiza odnosi się do trzech pytań badawczych obejmujących sfery bezpieczeństwa socjalnego i stabilności zawodowej, wpływu przemian na życie rodzinne i sytuację mieszkaniową, a także kwestie pamięci i sposobu postrzegania transformacji przez respondentów. Uzyskane wyniki sygnalizują polaryzację ocen, wskazuje się zarówno pozytywne, jak i negatywne aspekty transformacji, choć większość badanych określa się jako jej zwolennicy.
