Historia naszej płci. Archeologia paradygmatu Herculine Barbin

dc.abstract.en	This work presents a critical analysis of Herculine Barbin, edited by Michel Foucault, and its reception by Judith Butler and Paul B. Preciado. It draws on Giorgio Agamben's archaeology: archaeology as a science that examines moments of separation in history through the analysis of signatures and paradigms. This archaeology is supplemented by an analysis of his In Praise of Profanation. The analysis of Herculine Barbin examines Michel Foucault's montage and editorial techniques—the signatures he inscribed on this text—that detached Herculine Barbin's memoirs from their historical context and inserted them into Foucault's system of thought. Drawing on historical and literary studies, the conventions, construction, and political stakes of Herculine Barbin's writing are proposed—alternative signatures to those created by Michel Foucault. The analysis then presents the signatures Foucault suggested when situating Herculine Barbin within the broader context of his philosophical projects. The work concludes with analyses of readings of Herculine Barbin by Judith Butler—who introduced the signature of demand for recognition—and by Paul B. Preciado—who proposed the signature of speaking in the name of the system—which continue the tradition of reading Herculine Barbin initiated by Michel Foucault. It is argued that these readings actually limit emancipatory projects, and following the methods of profanation proposed by Giorgio Agamben, here are proposed possible methods for transforming this history into pure means that allow the subject to shape their own life as a form-of-life.
dc.abstract.pl	W pracy przedstawiono krytyczną analizę Herculine Barbin pod redakcją Michela Foucaulta, a także odbiór tej pozycji przez Judith Butler oraz Paula B. Preciado. W tym celu użyto archeologii Giorgio’a Agambena: archeologii jako nauki badającej momenty rozdzielenia w historii, dzięki analizie sygnatur i paradygmatów. Archeologia została uzupełniona przez analizę Pochwały profanacji Włocha. W analizie Herculine Barbin wskazano montaż i edytorskie zabiegi Michela Foucaulta — sygnatury, jakie wypisał na tym tekście —, dzięki którym oderwano wspomnienia Herculine Barbin od ich historycznego kontekstu, a wpisano je w myśl Foucaulta. Na podstawie opracowań historycznych oraz prac literaturoznawczych wskazano konwencję, konstrukcję oraz polityczną stawkę pisma Herculine Barbin — alternatywne sygnatury, wobec zaproponowanych przez autora Woli wiedzy. Następnie przedstawiono sygnatury, jakie Foucault zasugerował, gdy wpisał Herculine Barbin w szerszy kontekst swoich projektów filozoficznych. Pracę kończą analizy odczytań Herculine Barbin dokonanych przez Judith Butler — wprowadzili oni sygnaturę „żądania rozpoznania” — oraz Paula B. Preciado — autor zaproponował sygnaturę „mowy w imieniu systemu” —, które kontynuują tradycję czytań zapoczątkowaną przez Michela Foucaulta. Wskazano tu, że wymienione czytania w istocie ograniczają projekty emancypacyjne, a podążając za metodami profanacji, zaproponowanymi przez Giorgio’a Agambena, wskazano możliwe metody przemienienia tej historii w czyste środki, które pozwalają podmiotowi kształtować własne życie, jako projekt formy-życia.
