dc.abstract.en	The content of this thesis is a comparative analysis of a figure of an elderly artist and of her or his memories in the novel The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo (2017) by Taylor Jenkins Reid and in the film Pain and glory (2019) by Pedro Almodóvar. The paper consists of four chapters. The first one constitutes the methodological basis associated with comparative literature and with the narrative technics of temporal manipulation of the story: retrospection or flashback and anticipation. The second part presents an analysis of the structure of the two artworks with the explanation of the apply of the previously described methods to show the character’s memories. The third chapter is dedicated to the comparison of the aspects related to the professional life of both artists, while the fourth, to the analysis of their private life. In the novel, just as in the film, the retrospection plays a crucial role in the life’s reconstruction in the story, in order to finally reveal to the reader and to the spectator that this story, on a meta level, simultaneously anticipates a new work, biographic or autobiographic.

dc.abstract.other	El contenido de la presente tesis es un análisis comparativo de la figura del artista mayor y de la manera de mostrar sus recuerdos en la novela Los siete maridos de Evelyn Hugo (2017) de Taylor Jenkins Reid y en la película Dolor y gloria (2019) de Pedro Almodóvar. El trabajo se compone de cuatro capítulos. El primero constituye una base metodológica que se refiere a la literatura comparada y a las técnicas narrativas de la manipulación temporal de la historia: retrospección o flashback y anticipación. En la segunda parte se presenta un análisis de la estructura de las dos obras, junto con la explicación de la manera de aplicar los métodos anteriormente descritos para mostrar los recuerdos de los protagonistas. El tercer capítulo se dedica a la comparación de los aspectos relacionados a la vida profesional de ambos artistas, mientras el cuarto, al análisis de su vida privada. Tanto en la novela, como en la película, la retrospección cumple la función clave en el proceso de reconstruir la vida en el relato, para finalmente revelar al lector y al espectador que esta historia relatada, en el nivel meta, simultáneamente anticipa una obra nueva, biográfica o autobiográfica.
dc.abstract.pl	Treścią niniejszej pracy jest analiza porównawcza postaci starszego artysty oraz ukazywania jego wspomnień w powieści Siedmiu mężów Evelyn Hugo (2017) autorstwa Taylor Jenkins Reid i w filmie Ból i blask (2019) w reżyserii Pedra Almodóvara. Praca składa się z czterech rozdziałów. Pierwszy stanowi bazę metodologiczną dotyczącą dziedziny komparatystyki oraz technik narracyjnych manipulacji czasem opowieści: retrospekcji czy też flashbacku i antycypacji. W drugiej części prezentowana jest analiza struktury utworów, wraz z omówieniem, w jaki sposób stosuje się opisane wcześniej metody do przedstawienia wspomnień bohaterów. Trzeci rozdział poświęcony jest porównaniu aspektów związanych z życiem zawodowym obu artystów, czwarty zaś analizie ich życia prywatnego. Zarówno w utworze literackim, jak i w filmie, retrospekcja pełni kluczową rolę w odtworzeniu życia w opowieści, aby na koniec ujawnić czytelnikowi i widzowi, że jednocześnie ta opowieść, na meta poziomie, antycypuje nowe dzieło, biograficzne lub autobiograficzne.
