Analiza wybranych chińskich przekładów Kazania na górze

dc.abstract.en	This thesis examines selected representative passages from translations of the Gospel’s Sermon on the Mount into Classical Chinese within the historical and methodological context of Bible translation in China and worldwide. It considers both the linguistic and the cultural-historical background of the analysed phenomenon. It is divided into four chapters: the first three outline the theoretical, historical and practical aspects of the topic, while the final chapter presents an analysis of the translations of the Sermon. The first chapter describes the historical development and key theoretical frameworks of two disciplines: translation studies and biblical studies. The second chapter presents the history of Christianity and Bible translation in China, following a tripartite periodization: the early period (from the Tang through the Yuan dynasties), the early modern period (the Ming dynasty and the early Qing dynasty) and the modern period (from the early nineteenth century to the present). The third chapter shows, through selected examples, key challenges in the process of biblical translation, including both universal issues, i.e. those independent of the target language, and those specific to the Chinese context. The fourth chapter analyses several selected passages from Classical Chinese translations of the Sermon on the Mount and highlights the tendencies visible in these texts. The topic remains timely in light of the growing importance of intercultural communication. It is also significant within the context of religious policy in the People’s Republic of China, particularly in regard to the topic of the so-called Sinicisation of religion (Chinese: zōngjiào zhōngguóhuà 宗教中國化).
dc.abstract.pl	Niniejsza praca dokonuje analizy reprezentatywnych fragmentów tłumaczeń ewangelicznego Kazania na górze na klasyczny język chiński w kontekście historii i specyfiki przekładu Biblii w Chinach i na świecie. Obejmuje zarówno językowe, jak i kulturowo-historyczne tło omawianego zjawiska. Składa się z czterech rozdziałów, z których pierwsze trzy prezentują aspekty teoretyczne, historyczne i praktyczne podejmowanego tematu, a ostatni zawiera analizę tłumaczeń Kazania. Rozdział pierwszy opisuje historię i podstawowe ujęcia teoretyczne dwóch nauk: przekładoznawstwa i biblistyki. W rozdziale drugim omówione są dzieje chrześcijaństwa i przekładów Biblii w Chinach, zgodnie z periodyzacją na trzy zasadnicze etapy: wczesny (od dynastii Tang do dynastii Yuan włącznie), nowożytny (okres dynastii Ming i wczesnej dynastii Qing) oraz współczesny (od początków XIX wieku do czasów współczesnych). W rozdziale trzecim pokazane są na wybranych przykładach podstawowe wyzwania w procesie tłumaczenia biblijnego, zarówno te uniwersalne, tj. niezależne od języka docelowego, jak i o specyfice chińskiej. Rozdział czwarty stanowi analizę kilku wybranych części przekładów Kazania na górze na klasyczny język chiński oraz przedstawienie widocznych w nich tendencji. Poruszany przez pracę temat pozostaje aktualny ze względu na rosnące znaczenie kontaktów międzykulturowych. Jest także istotny w kontekście polityki wobec religii w Chińskiej Republice Ludowej, co w szczególności obejmuje zagadnienie tzw. sinizacji religii (chiń. zōngjiào zhōngguóhuà 宗教中國化).
