Czynniki determinujące wybór przyszłego zawodu przez młodzież z zespołem Aspergera

The The aim of the study was to explore the career aspirations and barriers of young adults with Asperger syndrome in the Polish labor market. The work is based on the ICD-10 and DSM-V classifications, which distinguish Asperger's syndrome within the broad autism spectrum, and theories on the causes and characteristics of the disorder. The analysis of the phenomenon also includes therapeutic strategies and employment challenges for youth on the autism spectrum, providing a basis for examining their transition to adulthood. Qualitative interviews were conducted with seven respondents aged 18-20. The results indicate that respondents perceive work as a source of independence and satisfaction, preferring occupations in information technology, food service and the arts. The main barriers are difficulties in social interaction, lack of experience and insufficient educational support. Respondents value quiet workplaces and clear instructions. Ambivalent attitudes toward disclosing the diagnosis stem from fears of stigmatization. Compared to the literature, the results confirm the greater importance of neurodiversity, but highlight specific challenges in Poland. The study suggests the need for educational reforms and greater professional support for people on the spectrum.
Główne bariery to trudności w interakcjach społecznych, brak doświadczenia i niewystarczające wsparcie edukacyjne. Respondenci cenią spokojne miejsca pracy i jasne instrukcje. Ambiwalentne podejście do ujawniania diagnozy wynika z obaw przed stygmatyzacją. W porównaniu z literaturą, wyniki potwierdzają większe znaczenie neuroróżnorodności, ale uwypuklają specyficzne wyzwania w Polsce. Badanie sugeruje potrzebę reform edukacyjnych i większego wsparcia zawodowego dla osób w spektrum.
